We have published a new version of Predictia Weather, our app for short-range weather forecasting in the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Island. This release includes several improvements and new features:
- Added forecast maps for temperature, precipitation, cloud cover, pressure, wind, wind gust and humidity
- Performance improvements, specially in the validation section
- Forecasts for an specific location can now be displayed not requiring adding it to your bookmarks
- Fixed several minor bugs
As before, the app is available for Android devices. It is offered free of change with no ads, and pretends to illustrate the reach and limitations of a mid-range resolution forecasts (8 km), not very high for actual standards. To do so, the app includes a validation section, where the recent forecasts can be compared with observed data, using the observation network of AEMET. This evaluation is a novelty, as it is not available in other similar apps. If you are interested in more customized forecasts, with higher resolution, please see our products.
